In the Navy, the <strong><em>Chief Petty Officer<\/em><\/strong> serves a dual role as both a technical expert and as a leader; emphasis being more on leadership. There is always a sense of humor that comes from this culture. For the Navy, I find the more ingenious humor typically involves a CPO. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enjoy this Friday Funny. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Four retired Navy Chiefs are walking down the street window shopping. They turn a corner and see a sign, <strong><em>Veteran&#8217;s Bar,<\/em><\/strong> over the doorway of an entry into an establishment that looks dirty and dingy&#8211;not well kept up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They look at each other then decide to go in. &#8220;We&#8217;ve been drunk in worse places before,&#8221; one chief states. Once on the inside, they realized they were right&#8230; they easily judged this book by its cover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The old bartender says in a deep voice that carries across the room, \u201cCome on in and let me pour one for you! What will it be, gentlemen.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There seems to be a fully stocked bar, so the men all ask for a martini. In a short time, the bartender serves up 4 iced martinis &#8211; shaken not stirred &#8211; and says, \u201cThat will be 40 cents, please.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The four Chiefs stare at the bartender for a moment, then look at each other &#8211; they can&#8217;t believe their good luck. They pay the 40 cents, finish their martinis and order a second round. Four excellent martinis are again quickly produced with the bartender saying, \u201cThat&#8217;ll be 40 more cents, please.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They pay the 40 cents, but their curiosity is more than they can stand. They&#8217;ve each had two martinis and so far, they\u2019ve spent less than a dollar. Finally one of the chiefs asked, \u201cHow can you afford to serve martinis as good as these for a dime a piece?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bartender replies, \u201cNo doubt you&#8217;ve noticed the decor in here. And the outside ain&#8217;t nothin&#8217; to write home about. I don&#8217;t waste money on that crap.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI&#8217;m a retired Master Chief Boatswain&#8217;s Mate and I always wanted to own a bar. Last year I hit the lottery for $45 million and decided to open this place for <em>real <\/em>veterans. Every drink costs a dime &#8211; wine, liquor, beer &#8211; it doesn&#8217;t matter, it&#8217;s all the same.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWow. That&#8217;s quite a story,\u201d said one of the chiefs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The four of them sipped at their martinis and couldn&#8217;t help but notice three other men at the end of the bar. None of them had a drink in front of them and they hadn&#8217;t ordered anything the whole time they were there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the chiefs finished his martini and gestured toward the three guys at the end of the bar without drinks and asked the bartender, \u201cWhat&#8217;s with them?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bartender says, \u201cOh, those are retired Marines.
