    Happy Anniversary to me!<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    Today, Friday, July 10, 2020<\/em><\/strong>, is an important date for me. Forty-seven (47) years ago<\/strong>, I signed on the dotted line and enlisted in the United States Navy<\/strong> on July 10, 1973 for a 4-year commitment. But because I joined on a Tuesday and was discharged on a Friday, it was only <\/em>3 years, 11 months & 29 days… but who\u2019s counting<\/em><\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I began a 4-year journey <\/em>that would impact the rest of my life. Like many of my Navy veteran friends, I bought into the complete Hook, Line & Sinker<\/em><\/strong> story and never <\/em>looked back. I only questioned that decision a few times (i.e., during Boot Camp<\/strong>). I\u2019m sure I\u2019m not the only veteran who feels that way. I blogged about my Orlando RTC<\/strong> Boot Camp experience earlier [HERE<\/a>]. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    My \u201cNavy resume\u201d is short. But instead of a Ph.D., I earned <\/em>a DD-214<\/strong>. I am a proud US Navy veteran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
