Each military branch of the United States has its own cultures, language, and traditions. In the Navy, the Chief Petty Officer serves a dual role as both a technical expert and as a leader; emphasis being more on leadership. There is always a sense of humor that comes from this culture. For the Navy, I find the more ingenious humor typically involves a CPO.

After 30 years in the Navy, I knew I needed something to keep myself busy, so I applied to be a Walmart greeter. On my first day, a rude woman walked in with her two kids, yelling at them.
I just smiled and said, “Good morning, welcome to Walmart. Nice kids… are they twins?”
She snapped back at me. “No! One’s nine and the other’s seven. Are you blind or stupid?”
I calmy replied. “I am not blind nor am I stupid. I’m just surprised that someone slept with you twice.”

Later, my supervisor suggested that I might not be the best fit for this job.
