Each military branch of the United States has its own cultures, language, and traditions. In the Navy, the Chief Petty Officer serves a dual role as both a technical expert and as a leader; emphasis being more on leadership. There is always a sense of humor that comes from this culture. For the Navy, I find the more ingenious humor typically involves a CPO.

After pondering over a pricey decision during lunch, a retired Senior Navy chief and his wife, both in their late 60s, returned to the Mercedes dealership they’d visited earlier in the day.
They were surprised, and somewhat disappointed, to find the salesman had just sold the car they were interested in to a beautiful, leggy, busty blonde.
“I thought you said you would hold that car until we returned with the $75,000 asking price,” said the Chief with a stern ‘don’t mess with me’ look.
“Yet, I just heard you closed the deal for $65,000 to that lovely young lady over there,” pointing in the direction of the blonde. “You insisted there would be no discount on this model car. WTF?”
“Well, what can I tell you, sir? She had the cash and, I hate to point this out, but… just look at her. How could I resist?” The salesman was grinning, like he’d recently won the lottery.
Just then, the young woman approached the Senior chief and his wife and handed them the keys with a big smile.
“Here you go, Grampa,” she said. “I told you I could get this joker to lower the price.
“Bye. See you later, Grandma!”
Never mess with the senior Senior.
